MHP Management, a subsidiary of Porsche A and the traffic and transport logistics specialists of ITS (UK) members PTV Group (part of Porsche Automobil Holding SE) have signed a cooperation agreement in order to be able to jointly rethink and shape mobility across industries and functions.
In the process, cities and the logistics industry should profit from new solution offerings that enable economical, sustainable development of mobility.
Both companies want to bundle their expertise, exploit existing synergies and work together in interdisciplinary fashion across all relevant levels. MHP brings to the table its business, technology, and industry knowledge from mobility and manufacturing. The PTV Group completes the portfolio with transport-related consulting, digital technologies and its expert knowledge in the field of planning and optimisation of traffic and transport logistics. Horizontal advising and conceptual approaches are required here. Customers will profit from the expanded range of solutions – from strategic advising to implementation, e.g. of new digital service offerings.
“Thanks to the cooperation with the PTV Group, we can examine mobility issues in greater depth and, using digital tools, offer our customers greater expertise and quality. This includes the modelling and simulation of various future scenarios and the optimisation of the supply chain,” explains Dr. Markus Kirchler, Partner and Member of the Board of Management of MHP.
Dirk Franke, Regional Managing Director Central &Eastern Europe at PTV, adds: “As our customers, cities and logistics service providers will profit from MHP’s strategic management and IT consulting services. Together, we can better cope with the current challenges for the future of our mobility.” This includes traffic and operational mobility management, optimised logistics processes, clean-air concepts, data provision and analysis, networking of technologies and advising on the conception and operation of digital mobility offerings, such as mobility as a service.
In addition to the core market in Germany, it is planned to successively expand the international business. The companies and joint projects in the USA, in UK and China will then also be handled by the partners.
