Kapsch launches sustainable mobility vision
ITS (UK) member Kapsch has launched its view and insights on the topic “delivering the vision of sustainable mobility”.
It says making every journey more sustainable is the clear focus of today’s transport industry and our responsibility for future generations.
In the document it says to reduce the negative environmental and public health impacts of polluting vehicles, authorities are innovating their transport strategies. In particular, green forms of transport have become a major focus for investment, from e-mobility schemes in city centres, to allocation of space on the road network for bus lanes, bike lanes, tram infrastructure, and more. It says it is making mobility more sustainable with ‘joined-up’ traffic management and sets out how in the document.
Kapsch TrafficCom says it has further developed its portfolio of joined-up traffic management solutions in order to make mobility more sustainable. Thanks to innovative transport technologies, traffic jams and poor air quality may soon belong to the past.
