ITS United Kingdom plans to make a big impact at the Bordeaux World Congress
ITS (UK), the Intelligent Transport Systems membership association for all who work in ITS in the UK, always hosts a UK pavilion type stand in the exhition of the ITS Congresses in Europe. At the 2015 ITS World Congress in Bordeaux, ITS (UK) will join its Foundation Member the Transport Systems Catapult to deliver the UK pavilion, supported by Foundation Member the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). This will result in a larger, more impactful UK stand which is sure to attract a international crowd of visitors as well as provide an excellent base for the large UK delegation expected to attend Bordeaux. The stand is also strongly supported by UK Trade and Investment, which will particularly help in attracting interest from the French ITS sector.
ITS (UK) is supported by six Members which have taken a share of the stand: Nicander, Arup, Amey, Capita, Millen Corporation and Wavetronix.
ITS (UK) has a strong involvement in the organisation of the European Congresses, with five seats on the Programme Committee held by staff and Members, and other excellent links with both ERTICO – ITS Europe and the Network of National ITS Associations.
Richard Harris, ITS (UK) International Director said “The ITS World Congress allows us to meet our friends and colleagues from around the world, share knowhow and strengthen our links with the other ITS national associations”.
Jennie Martin, Secretary General of ITS (UK), said “ We work hard throughout the year on the Programme Committee and in the Network to ensure that the Congress works effectively for UK attendees, and this year with the strong support from UK Government via BIS, UKTI and the TS Catapult, the UK will make a real impact.”
