The ITS (UK) Forums form the backbone of our activity and therefore an essential component in membership engagement and networking along with the ideal environment for technical expertise and knowledge to be shared and showcased.
In 2019, we are introducing some significant changes to our Forum policy and governance. It has been agreed by the ITS (UK) Council that the following changes and conditions will be enforced with immediate effect –
- Forum Chairs will serve a two year term (with the option of being re-elected)
- Forums where the Chair has served four years or more will be contacted by the Secretariat to arrange re-elections
- Going forward, the Secretariat will arrange the elections of Chairs every two years
- The Honorary Secretary position will be re-named Vice Chair
Further information is detailed in a more comprehensive document here. This document outlines the changes but in addition serves as a reminder how the Forums should govern themselves, provide a service to their members and form relationships with the rest of ITS (UK) and external, relating bodies.
We hope that 2019 will be another positive and successful year for the ITS (UK) Forums.
